Thrust Bearings
The thrust bearings or axial bearings are designed to withstand force in the same direction as the shaft and are known as thrust load or axial load, or thrust load. There are some applications where there some radial bearings are used for withstanding high rotational speeds. Thrust bearings are used for carrying the axial loads and are also called axial bearings.聽 These bearings are following types:

The thrust load is the amount of measured force acting at and from the turning mechanism. As the mechanism such as a gear turns on the shaft, there is the load emitted from the gear in the direction it turns as well as against the shaft either forward or to the rear. The axial thrust is the resultant force of all the acting axial forces (F) on the pump rotor.
